I trained at The Devon Academy of Complementary Therapies in Exeter, Devon and attained an ITEC Level 3 qualification in Holistic Body Massage and ITEC Level 3 qualification in Indian Head Massage. I have also attended CPD (continuous professional development) courses in Deep Tissue Massage, and On-site/Seated Massage. To ensure I update my skills regularly I attend other training courses and network groups. It is important to choose a qualified therapist who has undertaken the necessary theory and practice of particular therapies. By choosing a member who is listed on the website of a professional association you can be confident that I am professionally trained, qualified and insured. I am listed on the websites of FHT and CThA.
Stress-related illness and musculoskeletal problems caused by stress is on the increase. As a Massage Therapist I can offer both relaxation and therapeutic massage to my clients in the comfort of their own home, where they will be able to enjoy the experience to its full potential. I also offer corporate on-site massage to companies who wish to be pro-active in dealing with stress in the workplace, using massage for stress and back care management.
Regular massage is a great way of reducing stress, alleviating work-related musculoskeletal problems faced by many - such as headaches, neck stiffness, back pain, shoulder aches, just to name a few examples. Or you may simply just want to be pampered and have a gentler, relaxation massage. Whatever the reason, having regular massage releases tension in all areas and enables the body to dispose of built up toxins in the process, thus making the client feel refreshed and revitalised, as well as reducing aches and pains, increasing flexibility and mobility, improving mood and having a positive effect on the emotional well being of the client.
